It's easy! Download our app, browse local GP profiles, and book an appointment at a time that suits you. You can choose your GP based on location, availability and areas of interest to find the clinician that best suits your needs. Are DocSelect GPs qualified?+
Absolutely. All our GPs are GMC-registered, fully qualified and experienced local GPs.How much does a DocSelect consultation cost?+
We offer both pay-as-you-go and monthly subscription options. Pay-as-you-go prices start from £60 for online consultations and £110 for home visits. Membership details can be found on our website. Are there any conditions you do not treat?+
At DocSelect we cover a wide range of conditions just like your NHS GP. We are happy to see those urgent issues which need a same-day review or those worries that may have been niggling for a while. We are, however, unable to treat: substance abuse and addiction management; trauma including wound management and fractures; childbirth and maternity care; acute postoperative care; sexual health concerns; consultations requiring intimate physical examinations; and acute life-threatening conditions such as cardiac or respiratory arrest, suspected stroke, anaphylaxis, or seizures (these require 999).Can I book appointments for my children?+
Yes, you can book appointments for children under 16. We recognise how stressful it can be to get to your GP when your child is sick, that’s why we can come to you. The first appointment must be a face-to-face consultation. After that, if the clinician is satisfied, subsequent appointments may be conducted remotely via online consultations. What if I need further treatment?+
If necessary your DocSelect GP can issue a course of treatment electronically, which can be collected at your local dispensary or delivered to your home within 24 hours. All treatments issued are private, and these do carry a charge which varies. How do virtual appointments work?+
We use in-built video technology to allow virtual communication during consultations. You'll need a smartphone or computer with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. What if I need a follow-up appointment?+
You can book follow-up appointments directly through the app with your chosen GP. Remember, with DocSelect you are in control. Can I be referred to a specialist via DocSelect?+
Yes, absolutely. If the clinician feels it is appropriate to see a specialist then we can arrange this for you. This can either be a private referral or a referral into an NHS service depending on your preference. Can I be referred for further tests and investigations?+
Certainly. If the clinician feels you need further investigations we can help organise blood tests and scans and will be available to follow these up with you. What if I am not happy with my consultation?+
